Cosmetic Veneers

Veneers are thin layers of porcelain made to fit over a tooth. They are uniquely made for each individual patient. Veneers are designed to close spaces, improve colour and also the alignment of your teeth. They are hard wearing and will be less likely to stain than your own natural teeth.

Allander Dental Care can fit veneers for you in just two visits. First we’ll prepare the tooth and match the shade of the veneer to complement your teeth, complexion and colouring. This involves removing a tiny amount of enamel from the tooth to prepare it for bonding and then taking an impression to make your veneer. You may need a local anaesthetic but most patients feel very little discomfort.

What happens when you fit veneers?

On your second visit we’ll fit your veneer. We'll make sure that it is the correct shade before bonding it to your tooth with a special adhesive. Veneers look very natural and are designed to last for many years.
